Installing drivers

I am trying to install a USB connect cell phone(Sont Ericsson Z520a) to my
computer using a USB cable. When I plug in the cable the computer recognizes
a device and says it is ready to use. Then a window pops up and says
"unreconized device-device malfunctioned and Windows does not reconize
it,click ballon to solve this problem. I go into Device Manager and it says
Unknow Device-"No drivers installed for this device".I try to update the
drivers with downloaded drivers from Sony and the wizard says "No better
drivers found". Also says no drivers listed in file.

Sony Ericsson has not been able to solve this for me and says something must
be wrong with my computer.I have just done a clean re-install of XP home
SP2. Scanned for spyware and viruses, updated all USB drivers and installed
all updates from Microsoft

Any help would be appreciated.

You can try this. Uninstall the drivers you already installed.
Unplug the device. Restart your PC once.

Now, without pluging the device install the drivers. After finishing the
installation (restart if required) plug in your device. If you will best on
your luck then window will regonize the device and will ask for drivers. Here
set "install the software automatically (recommanded) option. Click Next.

Best of luck and let us know.
