Call Waiting

I have call waiting on my phone. When I had Windows ME
the phone would cut through after 4 rings and interupt my
internet if I didn't have it blocked. Now my phone just
rings and rings. Is there a way to set it up so it
interupts if I have a call coming in?

in your dialing string take out the *70, and that will
allow call waiting to interrupt or ask you isp if they
have an internet call director .gives a visual message of
a call and the option to answer and dissconnect the net.

Actually, the new modems are so darn good that you practically CAN'T make
them hang up! I had friends that had dial-up, and hard as I tried I couldn't
make his modem hang up no matter how long I rang in!

You might want to look at www.callwave.com. I've never used it, but I've
heard it mentioned for situations like this.
