Booting issue

I've had this happen a few times whenever I turn my computer off and move it. I forget that it won't boot when I do that.

It turns on, but the system just doesn't boot. It just sits there with fans spinning pointlessly.

I'm intermediate as far computer tinkering so I'm all ears on things to try to diagnose the issue before my computer friend gets back from christmas.

well if it happens when you movin it, try resecuring all the cable. Perhaps something works itself loosse everytime.
also reset the bios too (with the jumper).
