Boot loop II

H

Harry

Unable to boot successfully. Machine is in a booting
loop, not able to reach desktop, and instead returns
itself to booting start.

Event Viewer reveals these "boot start-up or system start
drivers failed to load:
MRxSmb
NetBIOS
NetBT
RasAcct
Rdbss
TCPIP

All disks have been defragmented.
Norton Clean Sweep used.
All cards on motherboard have been reseated.
All USBs have been removed.

Nine Service Control Manager errors:
3 "A device attached to the system is not functioning"
addresses NetBios over TCPIP service failing to start; the
TCPIP Protocol driver service failing to start; the
NetBios Interface service failing to start.
4 "No attempts to start the service have been made since
the last boot" addresses Remote Access Connection Manager,
Computer Browser Service, System Event Notification
Service, TCPIP NetBios Helper Service.

How can these errors be corrected?

Check Device Manager for errors and or non-starting devices.

David,
I just finished checking device manager and did not see
any "exclamation marks." However, since I am viewing
Device Mgr in Safe Mode, will there be any "exclamation
marks"? I noticed some of the devices did not have
drivers loaded, and I thought this was because it was in
Safe Mode.

What you might try is;
1.) start again in safe mode
2.) try uninstalling the network adapter (from Device Manager)
3.) shutdown and remove the adapter
4.) restart the machine.

If no joy then try this for all non-essential hardware.
