Blue screen

Hi,

When using my D220s cicerro laptop (Clevo) i always get blue screen
after using the computer for maybe 10-20 minutes...after that I cant
even restart windows for hours. After maybe a day can be restarted
for another 10-20 minutes.

Ok I have to say that I already spent maybe more than 100 hours on
this computer without any clues about the problem. Here is what is
already done :

- A Complete virus scan with different anti-virus
- Adaware, Hijackthis, SpyBot search and destroy, ... and ...
- Scandisk, Memory check/testing program
- Always check new entry in startup (startup folder, registry,
msconfig, blablabla)
- Disable System recovery
- remove dumprep.exe and it still crash
- Rigourously check event viewer, logs, everything without seeing
something interresting
- Already try to swapping RAM Memory with different other know working
RAM
- Increase ram memory
- Safe mode change nothing
- No visible IRQ or any hardware conflict
- Nothing usefull in bios to avoid this error

All hardware are original, never opened. The computer was working
perfectly since some day for some reason it start crashing with blue
screen. No particular software installation or hardware upgrade or
any change was done during this period.

Symptoms
========
- Always get blue screen after using the computer for 10-20 min. The
error is always different :
PAGE FAULT, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL,
- After a couple of time you get this error, the computer is unusable
because and windows cannot be started because of missing .sys file or
supposed severe disk damage

Please help me if you have any ideas!!!!! :(

Thanks but I already read and try almost all the pages returned by
your search and event install all the kb-fixes proposed by theses
pages. The only thing I know is that is not a memory problem!

Then it is possibly a bad hardware driver.

But, how do you know you don't have failing RAM ?
Have you tried reseating the RAM or swapping the RAM in different sockets ?

Because I try with other memory from other working laptop and it
change nothing. Same thing when trying different socket, and same
thing when increasing/decreasing memory

To me this sounds like a thermal problem. At first I was thinking a
thermal CPU problem, but normally the CPU temperature would drop
fairly quickly and you would be able to use the machine again in an
hour or so. I am thinking this may be a hard disk thermal problem.

The hard disk on the D220s is way deep inside and not easily
accessible if I am remembering correctly (D220s is not handy, I sort
of permanently loaned it to someone). You might try cooling the laptop
with an external fan blowing air over it to see if this makes it last
longer, that will confirm that it is a thermal issue to start with.
Its hard to determine if its a hard drive thermal problem or some
other internal component having thermal problems, but my gut tells me
hard drive thermal problem. If thats the case you would probably have
to get a service shop to replace the hard drive. There is a fair
amount of disassembly required to replace the hard drive as I recall.

Thanks! :) The thermal problem make sense since i cant use the
computer for hours when the problem occurs...

Is there any way to know if the problem is the harddrive or the CPU ?
Some machine have a software CPU temperature monitor but i can't find
anything like this on this computer

For the Harddrive I will maybe try to start the machine and wait to
see if it crash when doing nothing in windows with the harddrive..but
this suppose the harddrive temperature is not increased by any other
component of the laptop.

Any ideas for testing the thermal problem theory ?

Thanks again!
