Blue Screen Errors

I posted a thread sometime back but I did not get a solution so I am
here again hoping someone can give me an idea of what is wrong.

The problems started sometime back when I had to change my power supply
as the old one died. Shortly after fitting the new one that died as
well, so went back for an exchange. Onto my 3rd psu it works, but is
sounds noisy and rough, (supposed to be ultra quiet.) I had heard that
a dodgy psu can cause system instability, but I don't know if its just
coincidence. Sometimes I can still hear something mechanical working in
the case even after shutting down windows unless the switch on the psu
is killed.

For a while now I have been receiving various blue screen errors. These
can occur at any time, when running any program. The exact error
messages can vary, but tend to to be :

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or sometimes just saying Windows has
encountered a problem. Also sometimes there is a file listed at the
bottom of the screen, of which there have been many such as:

USBOHC.SYS
NAV15.EXE
USBPORT.SYS
WIN32K.SYS

Another thing that happens is that sometimes, after posting the machine
will reset and run through post again, somtimes more than once in a
loop.

I have 2 hard disks installed, and XP is currently installed on the
smaller of the 2, which is unfortunately near the end of its life,
noisy and slow with a smaller cache than my other larger disk which is
formatted into NTFS and just has music, video files etc. I wanted to
remove the samller disk totally, but obviously I need to intsall XP on
my other disk. Can I partition this disk and put a new install of XP in
the newly partitioned space?

Any ideas what could be causing these other errors?
