Errow 0xD1 Blue screen

J

Jurga

Hello,

Please help. Yesterday when I was downloading a movie from the internet the
screen of my computer went blue. I had to restart because nothing else
worked. Today whenever I tried to copy files from disk C: to disk D: the
computer crashed again and again. The message on the blue screen says:

driver_irql_not_less_or_equal
Stop: 0x000000D1 (0x00000018, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xF81DF25D)
iaStor.sys - address F81DF25D base at F81D0000, DateStamp 422f3bcc

Half year ago I had the same problem, only it was saying Kernel something. I
just reinstalled Windows and everything was fine for a while. Then problems
with my disk D: started. At some point when trying to save information on
disk D: I'd get a blue screen again. So I basically stopped using disk D:

I have not installed any new drivers or programs recently. And after turning
off and on the computer, windows loads normally. I've been using this
computer for three years now.

Some information about the computer (laptop):
Fujitsu Siemens Computers
Intel(R) Pentium(R) M
Processor 1.73GHz
504 MB of RAM
System:
Microsoft Windows XP Pro
Version 2002
Service Pack 2

Could you please give me an idea of what might be the problem and help me
fix it.

i've checked for updates for with RAID or SCSI host controllers. and it said :
"The software you are installing for this hardware: SCSI/RAID Host
Controller has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility
with windows XP" and recommended to stop.

Nothing was suggested to update in the roxio website

I have installed Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver. And I believed it fixed
the problem, but I'm not sure. Maybe some files were corrupted, because when
I try to copy those particular files I get BSOD again, only now it says:

Kernel_stack_inpage_error
Stop: 0x00000077 (0x00000001, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0xF29DF95C)

After it I did a chkdsk and it did not show any problems.

What do I do now?
