lately, i've been getting a blue error message screen. long story short, it said that the problem may be due to the installation of new soft/hardware. the thing is, i haven't installed anything new for a while. it suggested that i change the BIOS memory so that i can turn off any shadowing or cache and something to do with a memory dump.

Could you please post the Stop Code that accompanies the BSOD. With that your problem could be isolated.
