autorun disabled?

I think the autorun on the computer is disabled, is this is at all possible. To start a cd-rom requires going into my computer and double-clicking on the d-drive icon. Can I change this? Thank you

Open My Computer and select Properties/Autoplay Tab. You can select the
options there for different media types.
