Autorun

In an attempt to enhance security and based on a online tip, I changed the
registry value of my Autorun as suggested to FF. The result was that not only
did my flash drives not work, but my camera via the USB connection does not
work. I was able to get the flash drive to work, but cannot find anywhere to
fix the camera problem (it shows up in Device Manager under Storage Volumes
as a generic volume).

Thinking things were better the way they were, I went back in to the
registry and reset the Autorun to 91 (the default value?). No luck.

My question is, does anyone have an idea on how to restore the registry
value for Autorun so it will work with the camera? I tried Restore, but it
will not work for the timeframe needed.

I tried the Restore, and the message came up that Restore would not work, and
that no changes had been made.

When I search Device Manager, and locate the camera - under storage volumes,
generic vilume, Windows indicates that it is working properly. Is there
something that I need to do in Windows that to "turn on" the feature that
allows downloads from the camera?

The software that came with the camera should associate the recognition
of the camera, when inserted, with the software that's installed for
that purpose. But it's quite easy to Explore the camera in "My
Computer", and use it like any other hard drive, copy/pasting, clicking
and dragging, or cutting and pasting to another drive. Just make sure
the camera is in the proper mode so it's seen by Windows.
