Autorun on Cd doesn't work

Windows xp pro. the autorun feature on the rom doesn't work. When I insert a
cd nothing happens, the cd will work with nero, so i know the cd rom is ok.
Windows me & down had a feature under device manager, under the cd rom to
check a box to use autorun or not but windows xp doesn't have it. I keel it
has be moved to some other place. can someone help . Thanks.

Thank you very much for information on this problem, I feel sure it is
turned off in the registery as it was working, some other program probley
turned it off. I can edit the registery so I will check out, thany You
