ASP.Net Machine ???

Hello...Since installing SP2 on XP, along with ATI catalist drivers for my
radeon card, I now have "another" user profile on my computer. This user has
been named ASP Net Machine with limited access. My problem isn't with having
another profile, BUT my problem IS with having to now pause on start-up and
click my name on the welcome screen to log onto windows. Could anyone give me
an idea why this "asp net" account is needed or more importantly...how to
skip the welcome screen log-on bull that I now have to do everytime????
Please help, John in Pensacola, FL

Visit the Windows Update web site and download
the critical update for .NET Framework. The
Welcome Screen will disappear after rebooting.

Asp.net belongs to a component of Windows called the .net framework. ATI drivers require the .net framework to be installed (as explained on their website).

Asp.net is useful to .net developers. Ordinary computer users like you and I don't need it, and can easily remove it with Control Panel > User Accounts. Removing the asp.net "user" will leave the .net framework intact, which is a good thing as more and more software development uses ..net technology.

The Welcome to Windows screen appears when you start Windows XP after you
install the .NET Framework 1.1
