Misplaced folders

I hope someone can help me with this problem. I was working on a xp machine
(with two profiles) in one profile (both admin rights) I was running spybot.
I then attemted to log off and and log on as other profile. well it shot me
to a brand new profile as if it was the first time ever used. Since i was
having issues with the 2nd profile anyways i assumed that it just reset
itself and set up the profile. During this time i cut a folder from the
other profile over to the desktop of this new profile that was created. I
rebooted the machine. the 'new' profile was gone and the orig 2nd profile was
back. but now i cannot find that folder, there are docs that i need. I
tried using search to no avail. any ideas?

You need to limit the use of the PC so you do not overwrite the files you
need.

You may be able to retrieve the data with a recovery program. There is a
free one with limited capabilities located here:

There are lots of other data recovery programs--use Google to locate them.
