Isn't it strange as how the wackos that advocate for alternate operating
systems are strangly quiet since the release of Microsoft's latest financial
report!

It is now a fact that everything they have been spouting for the past year
is rubbish.

P.S.S. Alias Has Been Very Active In This News Group As Well, Just FYI.

They'll be back with stories of cooked financials, calling for a SEC
investigation. Others will claim Bill's bought the majority himself and is
insulating his basement with them.

Still others will just simply ignore it and continue right on with the same
FUD they've been trying to spread since last November.

I'd guess most people have blacklisted you a long time ago, if you've read
one post of yours you've read them all. FYI.

Well, truthfully, I doubt MS's recent announcement will be taken seriously
by the fanti-boi's.

I'm having fun tonight reading through Apple's Leopard discussion forum.
Gosh, too funny! The same kinda complaints as when Vista first shipped.

"My dock is sluggish." "Wait for indexing to complete."

"I got so far in the upgrade and now I've been staring at a blue screen for
30 minutes. How long should I wait?" (Too many answers to generalize an
answer here...)

And... I am -not- casting aspersions on Apple or Leopard. I hope to have my
own mac mini before the new year. With Leopard. It just cracks me up that
folks get -so- bent out of shape about an OS, whether it be Vista or Ubuntu
or OS X or something else. They're just OSes.

The only Fact apparent from your post is that you are actually very
poorly informed...

And with your response you have finally admitted that you are a wacko!

(-: (-: (-:

The major financial institutions of the world accept this report, yet you
don't?

If the bs posted here by the Linux wackos had any truth at all, the
financials would be telling a far different story.

Suggest you get in the same bandwidth as the majority.

You are drawing completely invalid conclusions based on the fact that
the world's largest software business makes more profit than a much
smaller non profit organization, which quite naturally makes no profit.
(Amazing isn't it?)

So just which "Majority" do you refer to? Users of other operating
systems or clowns that shout about how a multi billion dollar business
makes more profit than a non profit community?

If the clowns happen to be the "Majority" you are referring to then I
think I'll stick with reality thanks...

Vista is rubbish, but the OEMs don't have much choice but to keep buying it.
I have been converting older systems to an alternative OS instead of buying
new machines infected with Vista.

Its sure that its too hard to read his posts with all those stupid capitals.
If he thinks it makes his posts look good then he is as crazy as Adam.
It just makes them too hard to bother reading.
A good enough reason to ignore him whatever the content.

Yet another alternative operating system "waco" heard from, by the fact that
he answered this post. You got to just love the fact that these fools are so
free to admit to being a waco.

I haven't read this person's post, until now. The person is headed to
killfile to join Alias.

BTW, you are funny.

Opinion and that's what it is is just an opinion are a dime a dozen, and
everyone has an opinion. Not Me's opinion is not worth anything in a
predominately MS controlled NG, as much has it tries. Not Me can continue to
try, but it's kind of worthless with energy being wasted.

The drug trade makes more money than MS. The arms trade makes more money
than MS. Hugo Chavez makes more money than MS. Making money does not
equate with good products. Ford Pinto cars with Firestone tires made
good money until people started dying.

and you believe a financial <cough-marketing> report published by MS?
happy 1st birthday!

Sure right, just keep patting yourself on the back and babbling softly
under your breath and some may not notice you're just a hot headed
kook that can't argue facts, but is good at calling others crazy.

Loser!

Hehe well, excuse me for mentioning it but MS software costs money,
Apple software costs money, Open Source and Linux cost nothing.

Since Vista costs more than previous versions but Linux still costs
nothing it seems to me to be a bit obvious that MS will take in more
money than previously and Linux will still take in nothing. Also, the
Game Halo probably contributed a lot, that has nothing really to do with
the OS sales.

So comparing the financial results of a profit Vs a non profit
organization is kinda stupid, isn't it? :)

Charlie;
"Vista costs more than previous versions"
I have not seen that when I have compared prices here.
Windows Home Premium is slightly more expensive than Windows XP Home.
Windows Vista Business is slightly less than Windows XP Pro.
Vista Home Basic and Vista Ultimate have no comparisons with Windows
XP.

Prices are about the same as when Windows 95 was released.
Take into account inflation, Windows Vista is cheaper than earlier
versions of Windows.

I can agree to some extent in terms of "Value for money" if you take
"Inflation" into account, however I strongly suspect that the costs of
producing things like DVDs have actually come down in the sort of
quantities MS would be dealing with, so in terms of (say) $200 for a
physical item (DVD) I think we would see an increase in profit, though
you are correct that this can be argued...
