After new motherboard, hangs at login screen

After new motherboard, hangs at login screen, can not see
mouse or keyboard, but curser blinks. Keyboard works in
bios, so I know its not the board. Actually with another
HD with 98SE boots fine, mouse and keyboard work.

Hans - You cannot expect W2k to boot or run successfully after a
motherboard change; the OS is bound in several ways to the original MB.
The OS doesn't behave the way NT (or any of the DOS-based systems) used
to in this regard.

The subject, and how to deal with such a move to new hardware, is
treated in detail in several MS knowledgebase articles, and frequently
in these W2k NGs if you'd care to search.
