Adding photos

When adding photos to my movie they don't take up the whole screen and have
black bars to the sides. Does anyone know of a way to have photos fill up
the whole screen? thanks

One of the most common reasons for this
is when you import photos that are in the
portrait orientation.

Crop the photos to the correct aspect ratio
before importing into Movie Maker.

FWIW...The freeware Picasa has a good
crop tool and it also has an option to create
movies from photos:

If your project is made from still shots and
music (no video clips) the free PhotoStory 3
has a built in crop tool and might be a better
app for your project:

or...
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/photostory/default.mspx
(yes...it will run on Vista but not Win7)
