A folder view question

There are several possible views when opening a folder. They are found in
the dropdown "View". Here's the problem:

I have over 100GB of music files and photographs--10's of thousands. For
the music files, I'd like to make the view the one called "List". For the
photos, I'd like the view to be "Thumbnails." There is a folder option to
use the current view for all files on the computer. What I need is an
option to set the view of all folders BELOW THAT POINT ON THE TREE. As it
is, clicking on "Apply to all folders" does just that.

Is there a way of doing what I want without having to change each of the
30,000 photos or each of the 20,000 musical selections?

Thanks,

You cannot "split" the View for different files/folders that's why it is called
"Apply to All Folders". There may be 3rd party freeware available
to do that and you'll need to do a Google search for that. You can
also increase the default XP view settings for folders from 400 to 8000.

I guess I'll have to get along with the existing setup.

Thanks for the method of changing view settings to 8000. I did that
immediately.
