"16 bit Windows Subsystem"?

Everytime I go to download something from the internet (mainly wallpapers and
games) a window pops up and asks me to Open or Save the file (which is
normal), but after I click Open, it shows that it downloads, but then a
window pops up that says "16 bit Windows Subsystem" on the top, and then it
says:

c:\windows\systems32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for
running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose to terminate the
application.

I have no idea what this means, so if anyone has any information for me, I'd
really appretiate it. Thanks

Also note that this problem might be caused by a trojan/virus.
