16 bit dos and windows subsystem error-autoexec.nt missing

S

stratis

When I try to run a dos program or when I try to install a 16 bit windows
programm I receive the error message "windows\system32\autoexec.nt. the file
is not suitable for running ms-dos or windows applications. Choose 'close'
to terminate the application."
When I search in my computer I find that the file autoexec.nt there is not
in windows\system32 directory. When I copy it from catalog \windows\repair
it is useless because after restart this is automatically deleted from
system32 catalog.
In the relative help page of microsoft I found that is due to missing
autoexec.nt and propose to do the expand from windowsXP CD. But the problem
is that I haven't the windowsXP CD. My computer is a laptop with a
preinstall version of windows XP Professional.

Any Help ?

Thank You
