Error 0x8050800c

For 2 days now I have been trying unsuccessfully to download Windows Defender.

Windows Defender version 1.1.1051.0
Engine Version: 1.1.1186.0
Signature Version: 1.14.1350.3

Last scan was 55 days ago (according to Defender).

Everytime it gets to 29943 Objects scanned, I get the following error:
Windows Defender encountered an error: 0x8050800c. An unexpected problem
occurred. Install any available updates, and then try to start the program
again. (To check for updates, click Start, click All Programs, and then click
Windows Update.)

I have installed all the downloads available to download, even custom. Any
recommendations? We have two computers, and the other computer installed
without any problems.

Thanks

If this is on a basic disk partition, you may be able to get beyond this by
completing a CHKDSK run on the partition. If it is a dynamic disk, this is
a bug. We expect a fix to be available soon, via the normal update process
within the program.
