I am getting the same error mesage on the same file.
The only difference between my system and yours is that I am running server
2003 standard w/ sp1. So far, I am only getting this on my 2 servers.

Please see my earlier post in the announcements newsgroup entitled
'Explanation of error 0x8050800c using engine build 1.1.1186.0' for a
description of why you are most likely hitting this problem.

Basically, if your system drive is a dynamic disk you will see this error
until the next engine update happens.

Thanks

Mike,
Oh, yes it is a dynamic disk (software RAID 1). I thank you for letting me
know that this is known and will be fixed shortly.

Hi Mike

More and more surprised.........

- What internal testing procedures does MS use ?
Everyone running Vista ?

- What external users test this before it went out ?
(Must be a strange usergroup with all of these findings)

Never seen such a mess......!

There is a lot about so called FAT, "Factory acceptance test"
wit a Google search which can avoid this mess.........
