0x8050800c Error

I have followed many of the inquiries concerning this error message. I have
updated every MS program. I have Engine Ver. 1.1.1303.0; Signature Vers.
1.14.1358.2; and Windows Ver. 1.1.1051.0. Yet, just minutes ago a Defender
Screen popped up saying that it couldn't complete a scan because an error at
0x8050800c was encountered. Update programs, etc. Other programs that I have
to scan for Spyware, etc. are WinPatrol, Norton's AntiVirus and Personal
Firewall, Webroot Spy Sweeper. I periodically run Spybot Search & Destroy
and Adaware. Do these programs conflict with Windows Defender? Any advice?

I don't think this is a software conflict. In a couple of cases, folks
appear to have resolved this by a chkdsk repair run.

You are one update beyond the one which contained a fix for this issue, so I
think we can safely believe that fix is in place.

I think your best bet is to find a thread that Mike Treit is participating
in about this error--probably in .general--and chime in. He may want to
collect some data from your system to try to pin this down.

I've run the chkdsk Norton's System Works set it up to run at a restart. How
do I get a hold of Mike Treit?

First, I shall send you an E-mail. In the meantime here is an update:
Windows Defender is scheduled to do a scan at night. This morning there was
an Error Message: The instruction at 0x7c91e9c9 referenced memory at
0x07300030. The memory could not "read". Check OK to terminate the program.
This is a new error message. Underneath was the window with the 0x8050800c
error.
