Hi, Terrace.

With SCSI drives, you probably need two sets of drivers: one for your SCSI
host adapter and another for the CDR itself. The CDR driver, of course,
would come from Yamaha. The SCSI drivers would come from Adaptec or whoever
made your HA.

Have you visited the Yamaha or Adaptec(?) website to see if there are any
FAQs or updates following SP2?

Hi, Terrace.

My SCSI card is Adaptec's AHA-2930U2, about 5 years old. The only SCSI
device in my computer now is my boot device, and IBM hard drive - a giant
9.1 GB model. ;<) My first several CD-ROMs were NEC SCSIs, but now I have
only two IDE DVDs.

I haven't had to fiddle in the SCSI BIOS in a long time, but it seems I
recall that you can turn individual devices on and off in there. Press
<Ctrl>+A early in the boot process to enter the SCSI BIOS utility (but you
probably knew that).

What does Disk Management (diskmgmt.msc from the Run prompt) tell you about
your Yamaha? Is it listed at all?
