XPe on HP thin client joined to a domain

I am evaluating HP thin clients (t5710/t5720) for the company i work
for. I've gotten the solution for just about everything that we want
to do with them. However, i do have a couple of questions that i can't
seem to answer.

1. At the login prompt, how do i make the the "Log on to" box have my
domain name selected by default? It defaults to the local machine
name. I can click on it and select my domain from the list (we are
large company with multiple domains) and everything works great.
However, i need to simplify this for the user and have our domain be
listed as the default.

2. What is the best method for mapping network printers? I have no
problems mapping a printer, but of course it disappears after each
reboot. And since our users won't have the ability to commit the
change to flash, then they will have to map the printer each time.

Thanks for any information you can share.

Brad:

You'd need to work with HP - they control the image, and are the only
ones who can set those things for you without invalidating the device
completely.

Hello Brad,

You will first have login into the thin client as administrator, join the
domain then "commit" this to the flash via the green lock in the lower righ
hand corner of the taskbar (right click, commit)

After that mapping network printers works the same. add driver, commit.
Login map printer to print server.

If you use a RDP client to connect to a terminal server, the mapping will be
done after you add the print driver to the Terminal Server (if it's not
already there).
Make sure to mark the check box in the RDP client to allow redirected
printers.
