Thin Client with Windows XP Embedded SP2 and EWF enabled

Dear all,
I'm falling down in a terrible matter and I hope someone can help
me....
I've a network environment ith 50 thin clients that need to access to
an Active Directory domain.
Following there are the devices and software that I use:

1. Thin Client HP T5720
2. Windows XP embedded SP2 downloaded directly from HP site
3. EWF enabled
4. An Active Directory environment

I added the thin clients to the AD domain without any problem.
The EWF protection was enabled.

After 30 days the thin clients lost the domain participation and I was
not more able to access the domain. I found some articles about this
problem but I've some problem finding a solution.

Can someone help me to understand if I'm right....I understood that
this problem can be solved if the thin client is added to the domain
with the EWF disabled. I tried but the problem continue.

Is there some fix or patch or some workaround that I can use to solve
this terrible matter?

Thanks in advance.

You might want to go back to HP and ask them if they included the Registry
Filter in the build. The Registry Filter preserves the domain information
that gets put into the registry when you join the domain.

Marco,

Did you say you tried and could repro the problem with EWF disabled?
Did you disable it and kept it disabled for a few reboots?

If you bring up the registry and change the following key

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Netlogon\parameters]

"disablepasswordchange"=dword:00000001

By default it is 0 and when you change that key it will not change the
machine password. You must save the changes if EWF is enabled.

Dear all,
thank you very much for your help.

I look forward to verify if HP had some patch for this problem and I
was able to find a fix for this stupid matter....

Anyway, just to reply to KM, when I joined the domain I left the EWF
disabled for few reboot and some days but the problem happened after
30 days!

Anyway, thanks a lot....
