XPe cannot boot from CF in NTFS format

Do anyone know what should be done in order to make the CF
in NTFS format bootable?

I usually deploy the XPe image to a CF in FAT format and
everything is OK, the XPe installed and runs successfully.

Since I want the XPe run in NTFS format, I re-created the
partition of CF and format it to NTFS in Windows 2000.
After the image was deployed to the CF, the system said
the CF is not bootable.

Can anyone tell me how can I solve this problem

Thanks

Just format it with NTFS. This writes a bootsector on the CF. Now the CF
is able to look for ntldr (uncompressed), ntdetect.com and boot.ini

Mark it as ACTIVE(!!)

So you're wasting much of expensive flash memory because of not using a
compressed file system...

Win2k's ntldr and ntdetect.com are different and cannt handle the
booting of XP(E)... (if you should try this)

Also, make sure you use EWF to protect the CF. NTFS is much more "chattier"
with the disk than FAT is. You will wear out the CF faster.
