XP windows for log in at startup changed

The log in window as well as the window shown when you hit start/shut down
to an older looking window that I now have to scroll through to decide what I
want to do restart, shut down etc. way dif. from the XP type window that had
three buttons What has happened and how can I undo it??? I am using XP Home

Use the Welcome Screen in the User Accounts.

Control Panel (Classic View) > User Accounts > Change the way users log on
or off > Tick "Use Welcome Screen".
