Microsoft Fax Running at Startup

Something called Microsoft Fax appears to be running at startup and
continues searching for something. I don't have a phone line hooked up for
fax and so I don't want this running as it seems to periodically interfer
with startup. I can't seem to find any program called Microsoft Fax though
to shut it down or disable it.

I am running Windows XP with SP2.

Click Start/Run/Msconfig System Configuration menu will come up, click
startup tab and check if a Fax program is running. If so uncheck it, click
apply and reboot the computer.

I have the same problem, but there is nothing that says "fax" in my startup.

Goto Control Panel/Services/Check if there is a Fax service running there,
is so right click and disable it.
