Setup found some issues that will prevent you from upgrading your
Windows installation. You must fix all of these issues before you can
upgrade to Windows XP.

Unsupported Operating System Version

The version of Windows running is not supported. Setup can only
upgrade official releases. Setup will now exit.

I am running Win 98 SE.

That is supported isn't it?

Hi,

Yes, Win98SE is supported for upgrades to XP Home or Pro, but are these the
same language versions? If they are not, then it would not be supported.

I am thinking you mean language as in english? If that is the case then yes
they are the same language versions.

Hi,

Actually, I had meant as in both English, both German, both French,
etc...doesn't matter which, as long as the upgrade is the same language as
the installed operating system. Provided you are not running some old beta
version of Win98SE (it'd say something other than 4.10.2222a in the
version), you might want to try this:

If you mean the DOS Command VER output, I just checked it and it is
4.10.2222. Mean anything?

Ah.....System Properties sez:

Microsoft Windows 98
Second Edition

4.10.2222 A
