xp updates from microsoft update site

Hi

I run several machines on my home network and they sometimes download the
same files from windows update site.

Is there anyway to do this so that I only have to download the file once and
point the other computers on the network to that file.

For example, i have 3 machines downloading a 432 meg service pack for visual
studio at the moment.

Windows or microsoft update doesnt work like that,but if you review history,
locate the file(s) from microsoft.com,download to other pc(s),or to my
documents,
copy the file(s) to other pcs....
