Another update problem

J

JimL

I had a failure to install update form Microsoft update with the following
message:

--------------------------------------------------------
The following updates were not installed,
Update to .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 for the .NET Framework Assistant
1.0 x86 (KB963707)
--------------------------------------------------------

Actually I show it already installed on 6/19/2009. Might that be why it
won't install now? If so, what is the resolution?

The IE page suggested removing a previous installation via Add/Remove. I
tried that, but an error declared that the source was on an unavailable
network, therefore could not be removed until I made that network available.
The only network I used at update time was the internet and it's available.

These Catch 22's are getting old and I'm wondering why something wants me to
install it all over again anyway.

Suggestions?
