XP Unable to stop pop up adds

I've tryed downloading this free edition pop up
stopper. and it does work, but not with all of them. I
just get these other pop ups, that say "stop pop ups
now!" and all it does is make me more angry. I've tryed
the add but its not free. It's ruining my online gaming,
It'll minimize my game while I'm in the middle of battle
to show me the pop up. Please help, Thanks

Hi Frank,

You need to install a firewall. You should ask your question in one of the
windowsxp newsgroups, as this one is devoted to Access, the database
product.

Go to Start - Run
Type Services.msc
double click the Messenger icon
Click the Stop Button
and set the Startup Type to Manual

it's as easy as that

Disabling Messenger is really not the way to go. There are programs that
require it in order to run properly. You should run a firewall. For more
