XP sp2 updates

G'day. I'm having probs with the installation of the sp2 updates,they seem to
download OK but when it comes to installation something is stopping it
....after15 or so mins of installation I get an error message saying updates
could not be installed,and as a result the auto update thingy wants to
download the very same updates again,this has happened about 5 times. I'm
running Norton antivirus & Internet security and I hope I haven't just
answered my own question with that admission.

Try to install the updates manually: "How to Download Windows Updates
and Drivers from the Windows Update Catalog on Windows XP"
