XP SP2 pop-up blocker

According to SP2 documentation:

"The default settings for the pop-up blocker allow you to see pop-ups that
are opened when you click a link or button on a Web site. Pop-up Blocker will
also play a sound and show the Information Bar when a pop-up is blocked. You
can adjust these settings so that Pop-up Blocker works the way you want it
to. "

Guess what... on a site that I manage, the pop up blocker does not work this
way. Instead, users cannot open the link at all once SP2 has been installed.
The user must change their pop up blocker settings.

Anybody know of a way around this. I really don't like the idea of having to
to warn all my users that the links work...they need to change their browser
settings.

Thanks

Hi,

Well it depends on the user's preference how he has configured his browser.
But if u dont use scripts like window.open and use just target=_blank then
the middle level warning will suffice. but if the user has set his blocking
level to high then u cant do anything but put a gentle notice in ur web site.

with all this spamming and waves of popups this is the last drastic
protection needed to help the average user.
