XP SP2 and Roxio V5 compatibility

Alex

I have XP Home, SP1 and Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 Basic.

I am trying to find out does Roxio 5 work with SP2 ?
Which release ? I have 5.1 but it can be easy upgraded to
5.3. Is it enough for SP2 ?

I could not get direct answer from Roxio nor from Dell
(were I bought the system about year and half ago).

What else from the very software can stop working after
the upgrade to SP2 ? What about the Norton Antivirus
2003 ?

Don't know about Roxio. NAV2003 works fine though it doesn't talk to
the security center in SP2 which is not a big deal. Symantec hasn't
released an update for for 2003 and earlier versions to talk to the
security center, and it's not clear if they will.

Hi,

I don't know about v5, but I can tell you that Roxio Easy
CD And DVD Creator (aka v6) works fine on SP2.

For what it's worth you can get this from Amazon.co.uk
for only £28.99 and not only will you have a newer version
but it will also have more features. For that price I would
simply upgrade to SP2 and get the newer version.

Bye,
Pete

I believe Symantec has stopped supporting any newer program updates to NAV
2003. You can still get the virus definitions.

Y.
