Problem with Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum

Hi Everyone, I'M new to this group.
I have recently upgraded Win 98 to XP and transferred my Roxio Easy CD
Creator 5 platinum version over using Roxio update for Win XP.

However a section of Creator 5 called Soundstream used an mp3 codec
that was part of Win 98. Soundstream will no longer convert from CDDA
or .wav files to mp3. Is there an mp3 codec plugin for this software
which will work with Win XP?

I have already asked RoxAnn and she has written back several times a
load of gobbledegook on each occasion.

Are you using the last update of CD Creator 5.3.5.10? If not, you will have
compatibility problems. You must install the update before you even try to
use the program or you will have problems.

The first version that was deemed truly compatible with Windows XP was
version Easy CD Creator version 6.

Hi Richard.
I have installed the latest version of the update ie. 5.3.5.10 and
everything else is working OK. The Creator even recognises my late
model pioneer DVD burner and have actually made a DVD using it. Before
installing the update it would not recognise the burner. the mp3
function in Sound Stream is the only bit not working. I'm told there
was a codec in Win 98 which allowed this function to work.
