how do i turn off the various beeps and bongs when using XP? i've already
been into the control panel and turned all options to "no sound" but some
persist. for example, when clicking the mouse on the back button or links
in windows results in a mouse noise like a phhhtttt-click, or opening e:mail
results in a helluva bong. how to turn off? thanks, dan

Turn your volume button right down?
Unplug your speakers?
Turn off your computer?
I don't know ........... what's the answer?...........

You have to scroll through all the program events and set each one to have
no sound and save.**
(in sounds and audio devices).
" i've already
been into the control panel and turned all options to "no sound" ??

each event or just to no sound scheme???
if as above(**) then find what programs use sound fx and set to no sound if
there is a choice.
