XP Scanner Error

Photoshop 7.0 cannot scan using an Epson Perfection 636U.
The message "No scanner found" is displayed (KB300944). I
believe the problem lie with TWAIN and WIA. Epson doesn't
provide a TWAIN driver for XP (says to use 2000). Any
idea??

Does it say to use a win2K driver? What happened when you did that?
 
then just use the scanner software and open up in PS after...this has been
discussed in the PS forum numerous times...
 
I glad it has been discussed in the PS forum numerous
times because it is a problem that should be fixed.

Perhaps these newsgroup posting should have search
functionality??
 
The newsgroups *do* have search functionality. I use it all the time.
