XP Restarts not shut down since installing Radeon 9200SE AGP video card

Bryan

Hello all,

Since installing a 128MB ATI Radeon AGP video card in my PC XP will
not shut down, but simply restarts every time.
My PC is an NEC powermate P4 1.5, 1gb PC133 RAM, XP Pro.
No problems with it untill I installed this card.
The only odd thing I've had to do is remove the back plate from the
card as my pc is a low profile, and the backplate was full size, but
the card is secure in the slot. I've tested the card in two other pcs
and all is fine.
Please help.

Now why would someone go to the manufacturers web site when they are having
trouble with something that a manufacturer produced? Do you really think
that people have the common sense to do that? (-:

Hell - they likely take their Ford to a McDonald franchise to find out why
their engine is mis-firing!

Hi Bryan,
Go to Control Panel, System, Advanced Tab. Under Start-Up & Recovery,
uncheck; Automatically Restart. Post back any error message exactly as
they appear.
Best,
Treeman
