The system is not booting, there must be another problem instead of
registry, maybe the hard drive is damaged, you'd try to set the boot
sequence in the BIOS to priorize the CDROM, and try to boot with the XP CD
and check if you can access the hard drive.
If it is stopping there, there is more fundamental hardware trouble -
this is before Windows even starts to boot
