Nrw install problen

I have done a fresh install of Windows XP Pro on a newly formatted NTFS 320
GB HD, and its boots up with no problems. After installing the motherboard
chipset drivers the reboot stops at "Verifying DMI Pool Data" and will not
progress from that point. Any ideas will be welcomed,

As long as it's a new install and I assume you have no data on the drive
you need to backup

I'd format the drive and reinstall

then do not install the chipset drivers.

If there are performance issues check with the mfg of your mobo to see if
they have updated drivers
Did a repair install, booted fine, did a graphic card driver install, ended
up with same problem after reboot
