Computer begins to load and stops completely at line;
'Verifying DMI Pool Data .........'
Desperate to get back on line.

if it is stopping at that point , I would ck the IDE
cable and power connections. I don't think your Hard
Drive is even being recognized.

Your computer is having trouble identifying your hardware. It has nothing to
do with Windows XP. Suggest you take the computer to a competent repair
person.
