I just purchased a FULL RETAIL VERSION of Windows XP Home
Edition N09-00048.
If my computer dies (the one I installed the Home Edition
on), can this Windows XP be installed on my other
computer?

Thank you.

Hi Rod,

Absolutely. At worst, if the time is short since the original installation,
you would need to phone in activation.

Yes. The rule is that it can only be one computer at a time. But
if it's a retail copy, there's no restriction on moving it to
another computer. Even if the first one doesn't die, you could
remove it and install it on another computer.

Only OEM copies can't be moved.
