When applying updates, I frequently get a message that the file has not passed windows Logo testing for XP and that I should not install. Why am I getting these updates if they should not be installed?!!!!!!!

It never or v. rarely will say NOT to install.
It's just a "Note Bene"
The creator did not shell-out $$$$ to Ms to get certification (and rid of
the warning message).
If it's from a KNOWN and VALID source: just override.
