Update doesn't pass logo testing-won't install

I was notified of new updates. They were downloaded and when the updates
began to install, I got a message that "The software you are installing has
not passed Windows Logo testing to verify it compatibility with Windows
XP..... This software will not be installed".

These are Windows updates from Microsoft. Any idea why their own software
isn't compatible.

One of these updates is - Cumulative Security Update for Outlook Express 6
Service Pack 1 (KB837009).

click "hardware tab
click "driver signing" butto
click on "warn - prompt me each time...
click "ok
click "apply
click "ok

when installing the update, the warning window pops up, follow the direction (click ignore) to proceed with the instal
