xp pro upgrade

My supplier is telling me I definitely need a license
agreement number in good standing (ie it has not expired)
in order to purchase less than 5 XP Pro upgrade. Can I not
purchase 3 upgrade version if I am already running ME?
Please explain where they are getting this information and
why I need a license agreement number..

Not sure what they're trying to say. If you want to buy three full version
xp's then go for it. If you want to get 3 xp upgrades then you need 3
qualifying products (ie: win me) in order to install them and stay in
compliance with the eula. Once you use your winme as upgrade proof you can't
use it again as now both the winme and winxp license are tied together. Will
it work, one winme to use to upgrade to 3 xp's, yes. Is it in compliance
with the eula, no.
