XP Pro keep restarting and updates even make it worse.

Hello,

I've been stuck with this restarting and crashing back to desktop everytime you run something problems since few months ago,
Atfirst I thought it would be a hardware prob (I am not that good with computer thinggy) So I follow what i've read in various threats and forums regarding this kind of problems...changed the RAM and even the graphic card...completely reinstal XP, update everything plus use the latest drivers on everything.
But the funny thing is after I done with updating XP...The problem became even worse....Now, everything just fine when im browsing or just turn it on...but def will always restarted itself when I try to run any programs.

So anybody could give me some help?
It would be really appreciated.

Hmmm...

I would try some hardware tests -

get MemTest86 to check RAM

get a disk check from the hard drive maker

also,
try a new power supply with more grunt,

also,
take the PC apart, clean dust from CPU heatsink, check all plugs and cables,
reseat cards and connectors (carefully.)
