XP Pro doesn't find HP 5370C scanner

Hi,

I have a USB scanner and XP doesn't find it . I have unplugged and
turned off anf re plugged it in, but still it doesn't pick it up.

Any ideas?

USB devices require that drivers et al are loaded first.. the installation
program will tell you when to connect the scanner..

Thanks but I have found the problem...

I had a 12 volt power supply but needed 24 volts.. doh!!
