Trouble connecting USB HP 5370c to XP

Hi,

I have a HP 5370c scanner which did work okay with XP before I changed
to an Asus S333 mobo.

XP just doesn't see the scanner now. I have installed and uninstalled
the drivers et al a few times but it is no better.

I notice the light in the scanner goes on and off like a blink tho' when
it is connected to the power. Is this right?

Any clues how to test it is okay or get it going?

Thanks

Rock

You really shouldn't have to install any drivers outside of what is
already in XP, unless it comes up with a download.

The MOBo here (on this computer) is an MSI. I did have some problems
with an ASUS MoBo and drivers a while back, but it was one of the
early boards out of that generation and it's my understanding they are
fine now. (I don't remember for sure, but as I recall it had to do
with the chip set)

Check through the hardware manager to make sure there are no
conflicts. and... good luck.
