XP login screen

I was wondering if there is any way to get music to play at the windows login
screen? also when you log into an account can the loadup be paused to play a
video or run a program first, than load the desktop?

Windows XP itself doesnt support anything like that(at most you may change
the startup music). You may use any third party software for that. There are
many popular software available to tweak and modify system settings for XP,
you may search for those.

You could try it with Task Scheduler set for when "My computer starts",
I don't know that it will do what you want but it's an avenue to explore.
